I Love this vehicle! The safety features are awesome! It rides wonderful and i never knew how prestigious it feels to drive a luxury car. I have the tow package and it rides wonderful even with a heavy load. Seats fold down to carry a lot of things and it's easy to do. I would highly recommend this SUV!!!

Mercedes-Benz legendary safety features come standard! Smooth responsive transmission. Very quiet and comfortable interior. High quality fittings and luxurious feel. The amount of engineering that went into this vehicle is incredible. The 4MATIC is very reassuring while driving on snow, ice, mud or heavy rain with confidence. Engine has tremendous power on the BlueTec Diesel with massive torque on demand. Very addictive to drive it is meant to be driven!

My vehicle is approaching 40,000 completely trouble-free miles. I have towed, traveled off-road, taken long trips and used it around town. The towing capacity is among the highest in this class of vehicle - and when towing it never complains. Comfort, in all conditions, is exemplary. In bad weather (rain/snow/ice) it is great - I have driven past other highly-touted brands that got stuck a number of times. There are compromises: While the handling is as good or better than most similar size SUVs both on and off road, it is slightly less agile than a couple of (German) rivals, yet still better than Asian products (owned by my children). The handling is good in terms of grip, stability and predictability, but not sporting. It can be driven faster that most SUVs on twisty mountain roads (I live in the mountains) but it isnt like a sports car. There is a little too much power assist on the steering which reduces feel, but when you get used to it, the feel is adequate, the steering response quick and accurate. The highly adjustable heated seats are most appreciated, as is the quietness and the solid, unbreakable feel of the vehicle overall. Surprisingly it gets better real world mileage than most SUVs of this size - my overall real-world mileage for the past 8,000 miles has been 22.8 MPG - I dont dawdle, but avoid fast starts & try to keep a consistent speed. Very happy.
